Our mission is to contribute to legal security in a democratic and law-abiding society every day. Our organization consists of employees with various competencies, each of whom is significant in maintaining legal security and high quality in all aspects. This is made possible through good collaboration among employees, regardless of professional role and organizational affiliation.

The Work Involves

The work as a summer clerk largely corresponds to the tasks performed by newly hired clerks at the court. You will see how practical court work is conducted, gain insight into the daily court operations, and receive general training in legal analysis and methodology.

You will primarily be responsible for taking minutes during both criminal and civil hearings, possibly drafting judgments and conducting legal research, as well as preparing cases and matters to some extent. The position may also include other tasks that occur at the court.

Your employment will begin with an introduction that includes our case management system.

The employment is full-time during the period of weeks 24–29 in the summer of 2026.

We are looking for someone who is studying law and has completed semester 6, with at least one semester remaining after the employment period. You must have completed criminal law and procedural law by the time the summer internship begins.

You should have good grades from completed parts of the law program as well as very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Experience from work within government operations may be an advantage.

To thrive with us, you should have an easy time collaborating with others. You should be responsible, meticulous, service-oriented, and possess good analytical skills and sound judgment. You should also have good computer skills.

To be considered for employment, you must meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. This means that you uphold democratic values and the governmental values that guide the operations of Sweden's Courts. We place great importance on your personal qualities. Background checks will be conducted prior to employment.
